Saluti Da Stampalia Chora
Nestled in the heart of Astypalaia’s Chora, SalutiDaStampalia Chora is a hospitality project that transforms a traditional stone family house into three independent summer studios. Each studio frames immersive views of the Venetian Castle and Pera Yalos port. Blending the heritage of local architecture with the comfort of modern luxury, this sanctuary honors the island’s built tradition while providing a refined contemporary escape. The exterior interventions were kept to a minimum in order to preserve the traditional proportions of the building’s openings. White plaster surfaces are complemented by distinctive olive-toned shutters and doors, enhancing the dialogue with the island's landscape. Inside, the original stone walls have been carefully restored and highlighted, set in contrast with contemporary materials that define minimalist forms — including custom-made bathtubs that merge function with sculptural presence. Meticulous attention to detail and material quality ensures the project meets high-end hospitality standards while maintaining a strong and authentic dialogue with tradition.
